What does a Rockstar Mechanic look like at Top Job?
As Top Job mechanic you will: Perform PMI's on tractors, trailers, diesel powered equipment, automobiles and small engines. As a mechanic you will need to have:
- 5+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience
- Be able to diagnose simple and complex mechanical equipment problems
- Be able to do electrical, troubleshooting and rewiring
- Must be able to handle major repairs, such as head replacements, rods and mains, piston packs, injectors, etc.
- Knowledge in welding & Fabrication
- Must have your own tools

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
As you probably guessed, some physical effort and movement will be required. You’ll need to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You’ll need to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, talk, hear, taste, smell and all that good stuff. As far as lifting goes, you’ll need to be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
You’ll be a part of a close-knit family environment. You’ll work in the shop and mobile. While on the job, you’ll naturally be exposed to loud noise and weather.

| Education or Skills: |
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma
- Diesel Tech Certification
- Fleet and Diesel Experience and/or schooling
- ASE Certified
- Air Brake Certified
- CDL Class A License preferred with Clean driving record
- Experience in preventative maintenance CAT Cummins
- Experience in hydraulic services and repair
- Computer diagnostic & ECM experience
- Experience on Transmission & Differential swap
